Sweetwater

Sweetwater homes.jpg

Congratulations on your decision to build with Sweetwater Homes!

We have the pleasure of assisting Sweetwater homeowners with the selections needed to build each custom home.  Below you'll find tips to prepare, helpful links and more of what to expect.

Sweetwater provides you with two meetings to select and finalize the many finishes and fixtures for your dream home.  During the first appointment (please prepare for 3-4 hours), you’ll be selecting everything from your window frame color, down to the shower floor grout. It will help you enjoy the process more if you come prepared with some idea of what you like and dislike so we can maximize our time together. The second time we meet will be to review any changes you’d like to make and to finalize everything so that construction can begin on your home.

There is incredible value in the standard features Sweetwater provides for your home but you may be curious about options to customize further.  While “upgrades” aren’t necessary to build a gorgeous home, they can help to capture that look you've been dreaming of and the sky is truly the limit!  Upgraded options you choose will be priced after our session and will be presented to you by Sweetwater in a pricing proposal.  If you have a specific budget for options, it helps to think about what items will be a priority for you to upgrade.  Sweetwater has printed sheets with prices on options found in the models that can help you know familiarize yourself with upgrade costs.

Tips

1.

Take the time to look at pictures so you can discover what you’re most attracted to.  This will greatly help you with your decisions.

2.

You'll get the most out of your session by bringing only the key decision makers to your appointment.

3.

Flooring decisions can be tough.  Think about what your preferences are for your new home.  We'll discuss any questions you have about each type.

4.

Visit the model homes but keep an open mind. Sometimes paint and finishes that are in the model homes or in magazines may not be available or compliment the color scheme that you ultimately choose for your home.

5.

If you are planning to use your furniture in your new home, snap some photos to bring with you along with any color samples you've accumulated.

6.

Don't forget to take pictures of your selections during your appointment.  There aren't any samples to take home with you, so pictures are great to help you remember what you've chosen.

7.

Think about your upgrade budget.  Sweetwater offers high-end standard features, but you may wish to customize further by adding a few unique accents and upgrading items that are important to you.
